Boys who fled area children’s home sought
Authorities are searching for two boys who allegedly stole a van and fled from the Cedar Ridge Children’s Home on Monday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
Malik Smith, 14, and Derrell Payne, 16, both of Baltimore, are accused of taking a white 2008 Chevrolet Express passenger van that belonged to the home at about 1 p.m. Monday, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
The sheriff’s office said the van was recovered Monday evening inHoward County, Md.

Pa. man charged with public drunkeness
A Chambersburg, Pa., man who was found lying on Boyer Mill Road earlier this week has been charged with public drunkeness, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Timothy John Tiedemann, 53, of 3825 Jacks Mill Road in Chambersburg, was found lying on Boyer Mill Road at about 11:35 p.m. Monday, according to a state police news release.
Troopers said Tiedemann was issued a citation and taken to Chambersburg Hospital.

- At 3:35 p.m., a traffic accident in the 800 block of Lincoln Way West in Hamilton Township.
