Walk with Tori raises $34K for fight against scleroderma

September 14, 2011

The Walk with Tori event drew approximately 500 people to Doubs Woods Park in Hagerstown on Sept. 11 and raised about $34,000.  The walk was held to raise money and awareness about scleroderma.

Tori Anderson, lead vocalist for the local country band Possum Holler, was diagnosed with the disease and wanted to do something to raise money for research.

Proceeds will be sent to The Scleroderma Center in Pittsburgh.

Possum Holler and Take Two performed at the event.

In addition to the walk and music, there were auctions and raffles and a tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11.
