BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. —
War Memorial Hospital will offer the American Heart Association's Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and automated external defibrillator training course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the hospital. This course is designed for laypersons, especially those in a workplace setting.
Participants will learn general principals of first aid, what to do in a medical emergency, how to handle emergency injuries and how to handle environmental injuries. In addition, students will learn skills in CPR and how to operate an automated external defibrillator. After successful completion of the class, individuals will be issued a participation card from the American Heart Association.
