'Valor in the Streets' to be show on Channel 6

September 08, 2011

History will be happening every Wednesday and Sunday night this fall on the city of Hagerstown’s Antietam Cable Channel 6.

The Civil War documentary “Valor in the Streets: The Battle of Hagerstown,” will be shown at 7 p.m. twice a week on Hub City Channel 6.

Stephen Bockmiller, the city of Hagerstown’s development review planner and zoning administrator, wrote and produced the 32-minute documentary.

“Valor in the Streets” is hosted by national news personality Kelly Wright and details the events of the Battle of Hagerstown, which was one of the largest urban cavalry battles of the Civil War.

“Valor in the Streets” was funded through gifts from the Hagerstown Trust Division of the Columbia Bank, the Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the W.A. Hazel Construction Co. and supported by city staff in the office of Community Affairs and Planning.
