Hydrant flushing in Hagerstown that began on Wednesday, Aug. 10, will be extended through Friday, Sept. 16, in the following areas:
- Hopewell Road, National Pike/U.S. 40, Insurance Way, Western Maryland Parkway, Tandy Drive, Martins Crossroads and Cearfoss.
City officials ask water customers in those areas — particularly those using automatic washing machines — to frequently check for discolored water that may occur because of the work.
