Dorothy Mae "Dot" Koontz, 90, of Vermont Street, Williamsport, Md., died, Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport.

She was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Pinesburg, Md., to the late Howard and Florence Guessford Tosten.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Koontz, on Jan. 28, 1994.

She was employed by Hagerstown Dry Cleaners and previously by Victor Products of Hagerstown, Md.

She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church, Williamsport.

She was a member of AARP and Potomac Post No. 202 American Legion Auxiliary, Williamsport.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia A. Lucas and her husband, Nathan C., of Clear Spring, Md.; sister, Mary Madeline "Mag" Wyand of Baltimore, Md.; brother, Elmer "Jake" Tosten of Halfway, Md.; granddaughter, Shari L. Ferraro and her husband, Lenny, of Clear Spring; granddaughter, Staci A. King and her husband, Scott, of Manassas, Va; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Aiden and Molli; six nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children, Brenda, Bonnie and Barry, Kristy and Bobby, Debbie and Nevin, Paul and Sindy, Barbara Ann and Gene, and their families; special friend, Donna Blackowitz.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Anna C. Eichelberger and Margaret L. Stevens; and two brothers, Charles "Hot Dog" Tosten and Paul Eugene Tosten.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Susan E. Boehl officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
