Dance classes offered this fall

This fall, the Continuing Education and Community Services Division at Hagerstown Community College will offer a variety of dancing classes for all ages and skill levels.

Courses include "Ballroom Dancing — Beginning," "Swing Dancing — Beginning" and "Middle Eastern Dancing."

"Ballroom Dancing — Beginning" will be offered on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 13 and ending Dec. 13.

"Swing Dancing — Beginning" will be offered on Mondays from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m., beginning Oct. 10 and ending Oct. 31.

"Middle Eastern Dancing" will be offered on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 21 and ending Nov. 9.

Additional beginning, intermediate and advanced dance classes will be offered throughout the fall semester.

Family movie night set for Sept. 17

Hagerstown Community College's Student Government Association will host a family movie night Saturday, Sept. 17, beginning at 8:30 p.m. in the HCC Alumni Amphitheater.

The movie night will feature the animated children's film "Kung Fu Panda 2," featuring the vocal talents of comedian Jack Black.

The event is free and open to the public. The theater will open at 8 p.m. and seating is first-come, first-served. No advance tickets are required.

Concessions will be available for purchase during the show.
