Woman charged with stealing copper wire

ST. THOMAS, Pa. — A woman was charged with theft by unlawful taking after 65 pounds of copper wire were stolen Sept. 1 from Dave’s Auto Salvage & Sales on St. Thomas-Williamson Road, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Brittany Nichole Stull, 25, whose address was not provided in the news release, also was charged with receiving stolen property, state police said.

The metal was taken to St. Thomas Towing and Recycling, where $221 was received in exchange for the copper, state police said.

Pa. man charged with theft by deception

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Chambersburg man was charged with theft by deception after a 72-year-old woman paid him $10,700 to replace the roof on her house and garage, and the service was allegedly not provided, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Michael Riley, 49, of Chambersburg, was charged in the incident involving a Chambersburg woman, according to a news release.
