Before the Storm

Re-enactment of civilian life before the Battle of Antietam. Visit with townspeople having a final supper with artillery booming from the Battle of South Mountain, attend the last pre-battle service in the Dunker Church, help citizens decide what to take as they flee their homes. Living history interpretive programs will be held throughout the weekend at various sites on the battlefield. 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. today; 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday.
