Handguns stolen from mobile home near Sharpsburg

SHARPSBURG — Two semiautomatic handguns, a box of .22-caliber ammunition, miscellaneous jewelry and coins were stolen Tuesday from a mobile home on Churchey Road south of Sharpsburg, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

It is believed the burglary occurred between 5  and 7 p.m., police said.

The burglary was noticed when people who lived there returned home, police said.

Churchey Road is off Burnside Bridge Road.
