Owner: Betsy Schoonover

Address: 14 S. Main St., Boonsboro

How did you get into your business, and what motivated you to start it? Four years ago, Schoonover's daughter, Elizabeth Hamrick, suffered a massive brain injury. Doctors gave her a less than 20 percent chance of survival and almost no chance of having a normal life. Now dubbed the Miracle Girl by her family, she has recovered thanks, in part, to energy healing. As a means of giving back, Hambrick became a massage therapist and Schoonover opened Country Zen.
