HAGERSTOWN — The right southbound lane of North Edgewood Drive between Mount Aetna Road and Dual Highway was closed Monday as part of the expansion project of the intersection of Dual Highway and Edgewood Drive, said Abilio Machado, superintendent for Pessoa Construction Co.
The lane was closed at noon.
Workers for Pessoa Construction are sealing the joints in the sidewalks near the intersection. Machado said the sidewalks on both sides of Robinwood Drive, Edgewood Drive and Dual Highway need some repair work before the project can be completely finished.
The work should last about two weeks, according to Machado. It could take longer, though.
Pessoa Construction was contracted to work on the expansion project, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration's website, www.sha.maryland.gov.
