Kline family holds 46th annual reunion

SMITHSBURG — The descendants of the late George and Laura (Dubel) Kline held their 46th annual reunion at Smithsburg Lions Community Park on July 24, with 39 people in attendance.

The officers will be the same in 2012: Ray Kline, president; Jaye Kline, treasurer; and Joann Willard, secretary.

After a buffet lunch, prizes were given to Marvin Hatfield, 82, oldest man; Hilda Cartee, 84, oldest woman; Joe and Geraldine (Kline) Miller, longest married (61 years, married Dec. 25, 1949); and Tony and Jessica Kline, who traveled 560 miles from Auburn, Maine. Numerous other prizes were also awarded.

Those attending from the James Elmer and Ada Lavina (Kline) Kline family were Wayne and Gloria Kline; Ray and Jaye Kline; Anna Spielman; Tony and Jessica Kline; Donald L. and Linda Kline; Jason and Shiela Henson; and Carrie T. Bates.

Those from the George Theodore and Lefa Edith (Barkman) Kline family were Harold and Joann Willard; Tony and Cheryl Fredrikis; Gordon and Rhonda Conner and Travis; Raven Conner; Bev Smith; J.R. and Devena Dunkin; and Joe and Geraldine Miller.

Attending from the Equilla and Edna Ruth (Wolfe) Kline family were Mary Kline; Haylee and Jazlyn Reese; Louise Kline; Hilda Cartee; Karen Lewis; Marvin Hatfield; Charles and Darleane Moser; Colin and Debbie Kelley; Jim and Vicki Thomas; and Jamie Thomas.
