CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Haywire, a local magic act comprised of John Swomley and DeWayne Izer, performed at the Society of American Magicians National convention July 13 to 16 in Pittsburgh.

Izer said the duo was chosen to perform in a show entitled "Pennsylvania's Greatest Magicians."

The convention was held at The Grand Hotel, and featured live acts, lectures, workshops and exhibits by industry dealers.

The Society of American Magicians, founded in 1902, is the world's oldest international organization devoted exclusively to advancing magic as an art.

Haywire has performed at local parties, church events, picnics, and other celebrations since 1998. For more information, call 717-597-4991 or email Izer at dewayneizer@comcast.net.
