Hagerstown man hurt when car flips on Wesel Boulevard

HAGERSTOWN — A 27-year-old Hagerstown man was taken to Meritus Medical Center on Tuesday night after the Nissan Sentra he was driving struck a guardrail, a curb and a utility pole before flipping over along Wesel Boulevard near South Burhans Boulevard, Hagerstown police said.

Police Chief Arthur Smith said Wednesday morning that the man, whose name was unavailable, was thrown from the car.

The man was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, Smith said.

The man was the only person in the car when the accident occurred at about 9:46 p.m. police said.
