HAGERSTOWN — West Antietam Street was closed Tuesday to eastbound traffic between Washington Street and Burhans Boulevard.
The eastbound lane has been closed since 7 a.m. It's expected to remain closed until Thursday afternoon.
Work crews from the City of Hagerstown Department of Public Works are repairing a storm drainage line on that block, according to the City of Hagerstown. The work involves excavation and trenching in the eastbound lane to reach the storm drain.
Detours have been set up for traffic approaching the area.
Westbound traffic can still pass through the area and work crews will attempt to allow local traffic to pass through the street during the closure.
The same block of West Antietam Street was closed for three days last week storm drainage line repair work.
