Mr. Harry R. “Juney” Fogle Jr., 64, of Smithsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 20, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.

Mr. Fogle was the husband of Susan Jane Shockey Fogle.

He was born Oct. 21, 1946, in Thurmont, a son of Edna Marie Wolf Fogle of Thurmont and the late Harry Ross Fogle.

Mr. Fogle enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, hunting and going to gun raffles.

He was a member of  the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club, and loved making slippery potpie and soups.

He was employed as a carpenter with John H. Hampshire Co. for many years. Later he owned and operated Fogle Construction in Smithsburg.

Surviving besides his mother and wife are two children, a daughter, Pam J. Emrick and husband, Andy, of Sabillasville, and a son, Jason A. Fogle and fiancée, Emily Forrest, of Foxville; four grandchildren, Brittney, Kaitlin, Madisyn and Cheyanne Fogle, all of Foxville; two sisters, Judy Toms of Gettysburg, Pa., and Brenda Dodson of Cascade; three brothers, Jesse Fogle of Cascade, Robert Fogle of Sabillasville and David Fogle of Thurmont; a half brother, Bernard Wilhide of Thurmont; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bob and Darlene Wetzel of Sabillasville.  

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Fogle.

Mr. Fogle is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 E. Main St., Thurmont.
The funeral home will be open for visiting from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the funeral home with the Rev. Lin Smalec officiating. Interment will follow in Brown’s Cemetery, Foxville.
