Students graduate from Va. Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. — The following area students graduated May 13 from Virginia Tech:

  • Jamie Beckley of Sharpsburg received a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural and applied economics from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
  • Charles Boyer of Hagerstown received a Bachelor of Science degree in business information technology from the Pamplin College of Business.
  • Melissa Cecil of Hagerstown received a Bachelor of Science degree in apparel, housing and resource management from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
  • Elizabeth Crawford of Charles Town, W.Va., received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
  • Lauren Dennis of Hagerstown received a Master of Arts degree in communication from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
  • Daniel Hardinge of Hagerstown received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering.
  • Chiquita Howard-Bostic of Martinsburg, W.Va., received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in sociology from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
  • Michael Smith of Hagerstown received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing management from the Pamplin College of Business.
  • Laurita Turner of Cascade received a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in animal and poultry sciences from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
