Democratic Central Committee to hold picnic

The Washington County Democratic Central Committee is holding its annual picnic on Aug. 25.

The picnic will run from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84, 1619 Lappans Road, Williamsport.

Tickets for adults are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate.

For children ages 6 to 17 years old and college students with identification, the cost is $12 in advance and $17 at the gate.

Children 5 years old and younger and active-duty members of the military will be admitted at no charge.

Maryland Sen. Robert J. Garagiola, D-Montgomery, who is the Senate majority leader, and Howard County Executive Ken Ulman are scheduled to speak.
