E. Antietam St. periodic closures extended through Thursday

HAGERSTOWN — East Antietam Street between King Street and Cannon Avenue will be subject to periodic closures for an additional day, the City of Hagerstown announced Wednesday.

The closure is part of the demolition of the former Washington County Hospital complex.

Building materials are being be moved across East Antietam Street from the site of the former Pangborn Hall to the main hospital site, which could affect traffic.

Those closings will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The work had been scheduled to conclude Wednesday, but is now scheduled to be completed by Thursday.
