Wilson steps down as board president

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro Area School Board member Ed Wilson stepped down Tuesday as the board's president.

In a brief statement, Wilson cited the time commitment as his reason for stepping down. He said he has increased work obligations.

Wilson said he'll remain on the board.

The board's vice president, Leland Lemley, conducted the remainder of the meeting. At its conclusion, the board unanimously appointed Lemley as president through the end of 2011.

Chris Lind was named vice president.
