Ralph Gerald Baker Jr., 69, of Williamsport, Md., died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.

Born Dec. 8, 1941, in Bloomsburg, Pa., to the late Ralph Gerald Sr. and Vera Follmer Baker.

He was a 1959 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Penn State University in State College, Pa.

He was employed by Allegheny Power, Hagerstown, for more than 35 years until his retirement.

He was a member of State Line United Methodist Church, State Line, Pa. He was head of the trustees for more than 15 years and still served as a trustee.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee Walter Baker, married Jan. 25, 1964; son, Mark A. Baker and his wife, JoAnne, of Front Royal, Va.; son, Matthew S. Baker and his wife, Gina, of Williamsport; sister, Anne Javsicas of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister, Jean Baker of Bloomsburg, Pa.; brother, Ross Baker of Fairfax, Va.; and grandchildren, Courtney, Eric, Julianne and Samantha.

Private graveside services will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. at State Line United Methodist Church, 287 East Ave., State Line, with the Rev. Mick Dawes officiating.
