Car flips on U.S. 340

BRUNSWICK, Md. — A car flipped on U.S. 340 eastbound just past the intersection with Md. 17 in Frederick County, just across the Washington County line.

One person was injured, according to Maryland State Police Trooper J. Egros. That person was treated at the scene in an ambulance from Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue, and the ambulance pulled away at about 8:50 a.m.

Egros said the accident involved only car that was driven by the injured person.

The right lane of traffic on U.S. 340 was closed down until the car could be removed. It reopened at about 9:20 a.m.
