HAGERSTOWN — If you have a niche for arts and crafts, the City of Hagerstown invites you to share your gift with others at the fifth annual Autumn Arts Festival.

The festival is free to the public and is scheduled for Sept. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hagerstown’s City Park, Craft vendors who live in Washington County can participate for $25, and out-of-county vendors can show their work for $50. The fee reserves a 15-by-15-foot space, and vendors supply their display.

In addition to the arts and crafts display, the festival highlights local artists through art demonstrations and exhibits, living-history encampments, railroading displays, children’s activities, music and food.

The festival spans City Park with exhibits at Jonathan Hager House, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Mansion House Art Galley and the Railroad Museum. All children’s activities at the Museum of Fine Arts are being co-sponsored by the museum membership and the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Several bands from around the Tri-State area will perform on the Hager House stage on Saturday and Sunday, including Voxology, Sassafrazz featuring Mary Dailey and Bob Adams, Jay Armsworthy and Eastern Tradition, and the Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band. On Saturday, Tori Anderson and Possum Holler, sponsored by Susquehanna Bank, will perform at 4:30 p.m. in the City Park band shell.
