INWOOD, W.Va. —  Diana “Susie” Riley, aka Susie the Clown, of Inwood, recently received a scholarship to enhance her skills at the Red Skelton School of Clowning.

The program was held June 7 to 12 at Vincennes (Ind.) University.

Riley also has attended Richard Snowberg’s Clown Camp in La Cross, Wis., and performed for children’s parties, nursing homes, senior centers, Moose and Lions Club functions, fairs, parades, school festivals and company picnics.

Riley belongs to the World Clown Association.



Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Scott Palmer and Todd Crawford with Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA were recognized as agents of the month for June in the Greencastle office.

The award is given based on the number of listings taken, sales made and closed sales, as well as attendance at Realtor functions and continuing-education classes completed.

Palmer was recognized for the five years and more in the business category. Crawford was recognized for the five years and less in the business category.

Palmer has been selling real estate for 25 years and is an associate broker. He resides in Greencastle with his wife, Dawn, and daughter.

Crawford has more than 20 years business and sales experience. He is licensed to sell all types of real estate in Pennsylvania.



Hagerstown Canteen

Hagerstown Community College announced that 36 employees from Hagerstown Canteen, a full-line vending company based in Williamsport, recently completed a customer service training program through HCC’s Continuing Education and Community Services Division.

 The training program consisted of an intensive, half-day class designed around Hagerstown Canteen’s mission to build enduring customer relationships through superior service, innovated products and educated employees.

Weiss Bros. hired Lori Pepple as customer service supervisor.

A Hagerstown native, Pepple graduated from South Hagerstown High School and spent the past four years with Schneider National. Her current focus at Weiss Bros. is developing the customer service team and enhancing the customer experience.



Apparatus Repair & Engineering

Apparatus Repair & Engineering welcomed Tyler Miles as a new truck driver and mechanic.

He has a class A license and shop-time experience. He works as a full-time employee and is in charge of making deliveries on time.

Steve Harshman recently completed the LASF Product Update Service School on Repair and Service of Lincoln products.

Harshman spent a week in Cleveland obtaining firsthand experience from Lincoln Electric professionals.



Alternative Drug & Alcohol Counseling

As of May 1, Alternative Drug & Alcohol Counseling’s program director, Deanna Bailey, is certified through the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board as a national certified gambling counselor.
