Stress and weight loss

The Washington County Health Department is conducting a study using Emotional Brain Training, a method devised to treat stress and decrease the drive to overeat. The weight loss goal is to lose 10 pounds in seven weeks. Participants will use the EBT skills to turn off the stress-fueled drives to overeat. The 32 participants chosen will need to be available to meet twice weekly for seven weeks on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. from Sept. 12 to Dec. 22.

Group training and program materials are provided free.
