Calvin C. Loveless, 86, of 16851 Virginia Avenue in Williamsport, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown.

Born Sept. 29, 1924, in Bakersville, Md., he was the son of the late William Jacob and Essie Loveless.

He graduated from Hagerstown High School.

Calvin was a veteran of World War II and Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was employed by Letterkenny, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of AMVETS Post 10, Goodwill Athletic Club, Funkstown American Legion Post 211 and Williamsport Red Men Tribe 84.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Loveless; one daughter, Gloria Pepper and husband, Paul, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one son, Calvin Loveless and wife, Melissa, of Maugansville, Md.; one sister, Helen Kidwell of Hagerstown; one brother, Paul Loveless of Hagerstown; three grandsons, Cory Loveless, Kyle Loveless and Nash Loveless; one great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Loveless; and one great-grandson, Caden Loveless.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside military honors will be conducted by AMVETS Post 10 and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Saturday one hour before services at the funeral home.
