Retired educators award scholarships to six Washington County students

Six students are the recipients of the annual Nellie and Lake Lytton scholarships awarded by the Washington County Retired Educational Personnel Association.

The awards are $1,000 each and the recipients are all aspiring teachers.

The awards were presented by Leon Brumback, scholarship chair.

The scholarship recipients are:

  • Megan Duckworth, a graduate of Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, will attend Shippensburg University.
  • Lyndsie Delosier is a graduate of Smithsburg High School. She will attend Bridgewater College.
  • Sally Johnston, a North Hagerstown High School graduate, will attend Hood College.
  • Caitlyn McGrogan, a Boonsboro High graduate, will attend the University of Maryland.
  • Kaelii Stout graduated from Williamsport High School. She will attend Towson University.
  • Mike Etzel, a Clear Spring High graduate, will attend Frostburg State University.
