GOLF

Crabtree wins at Beaver Creek

Ryan Crabtree shot an 80 to win the sixth and final event of the Beaver Creek Classic summer series.

Andrew Miguel and Matt Snowden tied for second place at 82. Teagan Stephenson shot an 83, but that was good enough to hold on to the 2011 Player of the Year honor.

The championship will be played Monday.

AUTO RACING

Hagerstown Speedway rained out

Saturday night’s program at Hagerstown Speedway was rained out.

Racing resumes Aug. 13 with Small Fry Night with all children getting a ride around the speedway. It will be the 16th annual Cornett Tribute 20-lap for the Ernie D’s Pure Stock, along with Late Models, Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Late Model Sportsman and Hobby Stock Cruisers. It’s also Manitowoc-Grove Family Night at the speedway.
