SALISBURY, Md. — The Braves were held to only two hits — singles by Ryne Willard and Josh Simons — in an opening loss to the Perdue Chicks at the NABF Regional Tournament on Thursday.
Hagerstown plays twice today — at 11 a.m. against the Frederick Flying Dogs and at 2 p.m. against the Fedlock Falcons.

Huntzberry gets win
Kyle Huntzberry, who will be a junior at Smithsburg High School, recorded a victory Monday in a junior golf tournament.
Huntzberry posted a 1-over-par 72 with a card of 37-35 to take first place in the 16-18 age division in the Titleist Junior Tour played at Montgomery Village Golf Club. He had three birdies in the round.
On Wednesday, Huntzberry had a 10-over 81 at University of Maryland Golf Club for a 15th-place tie.
The Tour is played under the auspicies of the Middle Atlantic PGA.

Tri-State Thunder tryouts
The Tri-State Thunder fast-pitch softball organization will hold tryouts for the 2011-12 season at the Pinesburg Softball Complex in Williamsport on Aug. 14 and Aug. 21.
Tryouts will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Aug. 14 and from 5-8 p.m. on Aug. 21 for 10U, 12U and 14U.
