HAGERSTOWN — Work around the entrance to South Hagerstown High School and around School Stadium is expected to be completed by the end of this week, according to Chuck Harrell, owner of Chuck Harrell Home Construction.

Chuck Harrell Home Construction was contracted to work on upgrading areas on the school's campus outside, Harrell said. The workers have been on the job there since mid-July, he said.

Harrell said about 300 feet of sidewalk has been added around the stadium and at the concession stand.

"There was no sidewalk to walk on from the visitors side to the home side," Harrell said of the stadium. "We've added that, and now there's more concrete around the concession area."

At the entrance to the school on South Potomac Street, the curbs are being redone, Harrell said. A handicap-access ramp is also being added there.
