Man taken to hospital after motorcycle accident

HANCOCK — A man was taken to Meritus Medical Center on Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in front of 260 E. Main St., according to Washington County Emergency Services.

The accident was reported at 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

U.S. Cellular office closed after fumes cause illness

The U.S. Cellular office on Eastern Boulevard North was closed early Sunday afternoon after some people became ill due to fumes, according to Washington County Emergency Services.

The emergency call at 12:22 p.m. Sunday was for possible carbon monoxide, but it was determined to be fumes from construction in the building, 911 dispatchers said.

No one was taken to the hospital, the dispatcher said.

Apartment fire knocked down in Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Firefighters knocked down an apartment fire on West Baltimore Street shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, according to Franklin County Emergency Services.

The fire in Apartment 3 at 37 W. Baltimore St. was dispatched at 12:38 p.m. Sunday, a 911 dispatcher said.
