BIG POOL, Md. — Maryland State Police are looking for a man responsible for holding up the AC&T in Big Pool early Friday morning.

Police said they were called to the convenience store on Big Pool Road just before 1 a.m. for an armed robbery.

Using surveillance footage, police said the man appeared to be 5 foot 6 inches tall with a thin build, and was wearing a tan T-shirt, blue jeans and a blue bandana.

Police said the man informed the store's three employees to go behind the counter, then he handed one employee a plastic Walmart bag and displayed a portion of a handgun that was in the waistband of his jeans.

The man fled the store, heading east on foot with $115.02 in small denominations, police said.

Police said the man was believed to have then drove from the scene.

Police did not have a vehicle description as of noon today.
