Falling Waters man wanted in $28.4K home repair fraud is arrested

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Falling Waters, W.Va., man who allegedly stole $28,400 from an elderly woman was arrested Thursday on a felony warrant, the Martinsburg Police Department said.

Donald Earl Martin Jr., 33, of 168 Grandview Court, was charged with one count of fraudulent schemes, according to a police department press release.

Police said they arrested Martin at the intersection of Stephen Street and Maple Avenue in Martinsburg.

Martin allegedly accepted $28,400 from an elderly woman in exchange for home repairs that he didn’t finish, the release said.

His bond was set at $25,000.
