Burglaries, thefts reported in Washington County

The following incidents were reported Thursday and Friday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

  • A possible burglary in the 9600 block of Wandering Lane.
  • A burglary in the first block of North Westside Avenue in Funkstown.
  • A 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer was stolen in the 19900 block of Bloomfield Court.
  • An iron metal staircase was stolen in the 200 block of Eastern Boulevard.
  • A theft from a vehicle in the 13700 block of Maugansville Road.

Two face charges in robbery of Pa. business

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Greencastle police were investigating an armed robbery at AC&T, 705 E. Baltimore St., from 4:08 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said a state trooper spotted suspects fleeing the scene.

Adam Daley, 19, of Greencastle, and Benjamin Summers, 29, of Waynesboro, Pa., were charged with robbery and theft, police said in a news release.


Man faces hundreds of abuse charges

HARRISONVILLE, Pa. — A Harrisonville man faces 657 criminal charges related to alleged sexual abuse of a minor between 1998 and 2001.

LD Andrew Keebaugh Jr., 50, is charged with rape, sexual assault and hundreds of counts of indecent assault, according to online court records.

Pennsylvania State Police said Thursday in a news release the alleged abuse involved a female victim when she was 11 to 15 years old.

Court records indicate Keebaugh posted bail, which was set at $50,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 15.

Hagerstown Police respond to incidents

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to Barbara Pickett:

July 20:

  • An assault was reported in Cramers Alley.
  • A suicide was reported in the 200 block of West Side Avenue.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the first block of Broadway. An arrest was made.
  • Bad checks were reported at the Hagerstown Dental Center at 301 East Antietam St.
  • A garage in the 800 block of Washington Avenue was reported to have been spray painted.
  • A theft of a 2001 Silver Saturn was reported in the 300 block of North Cannon Avenue. The car had a Maryland license plate number of 1AF9240.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 200 block of Frederick Street. An arrest was made.
  • A wallet was found in the 1000 block of Maryland Avenue.
  • An assault was reported at Benny's Pub at 49 Eastern Blvd.
  • An Xbox and a Wii were reported stolen in a burglary in the 30 block of Avalon Avenue.

July 21:

  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at the Cancun Cantina at 901 Dual Highway. An arrest was made.
  • A domestic violence referral was reported in the 100 block of Broadway.
  • Damage to a car window was reported in the 1000 block of Hamilton Boulevard.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported in the 800 block of West Washington Street. An arrest was made.
  • A red 21-inch, Jeep Wrangler Tsi bicycle was found in the 20 block of Elgin Boulevard.
  • A theft was reported at the CVS on North Cannon Avenue.
  • A blue and black Pacific Mountain bike was stolen in the 100 block of Merrbaugh Drive.
  • A domestic violence referral was made in the 900 block of Frederick Street.
  • A phone was reported stolen in the 900 block of Eldridge Drive.
  • A PlayStation was stolen in a burglary in the 900 block of Maryland Avenue.
  • Damage was reported to The Maryland Theatre at 21 S. Potomac St.

July 22:

  • Controlled-dangerous substance violations were reported in the 100 block of North Prospect Street. An arrest was made.
  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported at Franklin and Prospect streets. An arrest was made.
  • Curfew violations were reported in the 700 block of Potomac Avenue. A juvenile was charged.
  • An overdose was reported in the 200 block of South Prospect Street.
