MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Martinsburg American Legion Riders will host their second annual Toys for Tots Poker Run on Saturday.
The ride starts at the VIP Sports Bar and Grill on Eagle School Road near the intersection with Veronica Street.
The event begins with an all-you-can-eat breakfast at 7 a.m. at the VIP Sports Bar followed by the Veterans Combined Honor Guard providing a 21-gun salute and a rendition of taps. The breakfast costs $6 a person
Following a safety briefing, the first bikes will ride out at 10 a.m. with the remaining bikes to leave at 10:30, according to Brian Tolstyka, director of the Martinsburg American Legion Riders Group.
A $20 donation is asked of all riders. All who donate will receive a ride T-shirt, according to Tolstyka.
All makes of bikes are welcome. The public is invited to the breakfast and asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to the VIP Sports Bar or to any of the stops along the run.
The ride concludes at the Martinsburg American Legion, 125 W. Race St., where riders can enjoy food, drinks and karaoke. Unwrapped toys also will be accepted at the American Legion.
All proceeds benefit Toys for Tots efforts in the Eastern Panhandle.
