July 27, 2011

CLEAR SPRING — A man who robbed the Liberty Gas Station at 12828 Clear Spring Road Sunday night ordered a clerk in the store to look down at the floor.

The man told the clerk he had a gun but did not show one, according to a Washington County Sheriff's Office news release.

The man demanded that money be placed in an envelope, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the Clear Spring station, which is also known as Weller's Service and Lube, the release said.

The man is being described as white and 20 to 30-years-old. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and a baseball hat turned backward, the release said.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call Detective Timothy Atwell at 240-313-2183.
