Louise Virginia G. Englebrecht, 97, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown, Md.

Born Nov. 8, 1913, in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of George G. and Margaret Harrison Englebrecht, both now deceased. She was a 1932 Frederick High School graduate.

Louise was a devout member of St. Barnabas Chapel, All Saints Episcopal Church of Frederick. She served as Sunday school teacher and pianist for more than 40 years at the chapel and was an active member of the Ladies' Church Guild.

During her lifetime, she worked for G&L Bakery, The Hosiery, Price Electric and Maryland School for the Deaf. She retired from the school in 1984, where she served as night counselor for the primary students.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy E. Mullican; niece, Tawn Gelvin and her daughter, Ashley; niece, Tina Miller and husband, Michael, and their two daughters, Whitney Dangerfield and husband, Douglas, and their children, Jared and Kyle Dangerfield, and Maggie Krzywicki and husband, Bobby; and many cousins and godchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Coffman Nursing Home for their kindness and loving care they gave to Louise. She loved them all. She will be remembered for her love of family, children and her music.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, where services will be Friday, July 29, 2011, at 10 a.m. in Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas W. Claggett III of All Saints Episcopal Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
