Maryland Backflow Prevention Certification

Aug. 5, 6 and 7, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (recertification, Saturday, Aug. 6)
Cost: certification: $535; recertification, $320

Energy Efficiency Building Maintenance 101
Instructor: Bernie Bussard
Aug. 9 to Sept. 27, Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Green Energy Efficient Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing troubleshooting and repair.
Cost: $350

CPR/AED and First Aid
Instructor: Doug Walker
Aug. 10, from 7:30 a.m. to noon
Cost: $60

OSHA 10 Hour Course
Instructor: Occupational Safety and Health Administration certified Instructors
Thursday, Aug. 11, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 12, 7:30 to 10 a.m.
Cost: $115, Includes OSHA book and lunch on Thursday

Green Associate Certification Exam Prep
Instructor: Scott Kline
Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19 and 20, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Cost: $285
Additional fees for registration and exam: $250
Washington County employers may qualify for 100 percent funding through a grant for this course. Deadline to apply is Aug. 5

Maryland HVAC-R Exam Prep Course
Instructor: Blaine Mowen
Monday and Wednesday, Aug. 22 and 24, 6 to 9 p.m.
Cost: $110

Geothermal Heat Pump Installation
Instructor: Bernie Bussard
Aug. 22 to Oct. 12, Mondays and Wednesday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Cost: ABC members: $365 (includes textbook)
