Mary M. Marfilius, 90, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del.

Born April 18, 1921, in New York City, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Myles and Margaret Mary Hannon Loughlin.

Mrs. Marfilius was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Marfilius, who died Oct. 26, 1964.

She was employed with the New York City Health and Hospitals Corp., as a senior hospital care investigator.

She graduated from Cathedral High School in New York City and attended the College of New Rochelle, in New Rochelle, N.Y.

She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hagerstown, and was a member of Catholic Daughters at St. Mary's Catholic Church, White Stone, N.Y.

Surviving are her daughter, Margaret M. Marfilius and her fiance, Douglas S. Lieberman, of Williamsport; her sister-in-law, Ethna Loughlin of Conroe, Tex.; nephew, Thomas Loughlin Jr. and wife, Donna, of Woodlands, Tex.; and niece, Ethna Lake and husband, John, of Salem, S.C.; as well as eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Myles E. and Thomas Loughlin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. James Nirappel will celebrate the Mass. The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals Adult Day Services, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
