HAGERSTOWN — Two people were injured Friday morning in a three-car collision at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Wilson and Burhans boulevards, Officer Marshall of the Hagerstown Police Department said.
According to Marshall, a car traveling west on Wilson Boulevard collided with a car traveling north on Virginia Avenue at the intersection. The car traveling on Wilson Boulevard then spun out of control and struck another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of Virginia Avneue and Burhans Boulevard.
WIlson Boulevard becomes Burhans Boulevard when it crosses Virginia Avenue.
A sign on Burhans Boulevard was also damaged during the collision.
The drivers of the two cars in the initial collision were taken to Meritus Medical Center, one in a paramedic unit from Halfway and the other in a paramedic unit from Hagerstown.
Both had minor injuries, according to Marshall.
A firetruck from theHagerstown Fire Department was also on the scene.
All three cars had to be towed away.
Police responded to the accident around 11:15 a.m. Friday, a supervisor for Washington County Emergency Services said.
