A memorial service for Mrs. Anna L. Carter, age 75, of Eastaboga, Ala., formerly of Williamsport, Md., will be at 2 p.m., on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at First United Methodist Church of Oxford, Oxford, Ala., with the Rev. Charles Worley officiating.
Mrs. Carter passed away July 19, 2011, at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Ala.
A native of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Carter was a retired certified nurse's assistant. She was a member of the Oxford (Ala.) Senior Citizens Center and the First United Methodist Church of Oxford.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Edward W. Ledbetter of Eastaboga; daughters, Sallie Shipley and husband, Michael, of Anniston, and Cindy Bage and husband, William, of Candler, N.C.; a son, Charles L. Reynard Jr. of Maryland; sisters Mary Bigler, Ethel Clevenger, Margaret Groff, Betty Middlekauff, Mabel Shipley and Shirley Davis; grandchildren, Erica Callahan of Slidell, La., Selena Bage of Lynchburg, Va., and Victoria Bage of Portland, Ore.; and a great-granddaughter, Payton Callahan of Slidell, La.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Saunders and Richard Saunders; and sisters, Esther Young and Marie Lynch.
