Bartlett needs to go; DREAM Act needs to be stopped
To the editor:
Recently, I have noticed a number of items about U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett. The other day when Obama was on TV, he mentioned “The DREAM Act,” which calls for amnesty for all illegals in this country.
It states as follows, and I sent this message by email to Rep. Bartlett:
“I am writing to urge you to withhold your support of the so-called DREAM Act, amnesty legislation that Senator Dick Durbin is pushing through Congress under the guise that it will help kick-start the economy and be good for America. This is a misguided rationale that will damage the U.S. economy and further handcuff Americans who are jobless. Pushing a back door amnesty plan that adversely affects the law-abiding citizens of the U.S. is reprehensible and should be soundly defeated. I oppose amnesty and I am outraged that this Congress continues its deceptive pattern of back-room deals and legislative trickery. Vote no on any pro-amnesty amendments — such as the DREAM Act. Please know that I will be closely monitoring your actions on this.”
His comment to me by return email was he gets too many emails and I should check his website for info — and I did, and nothing was there — or check in with one of his offices. This man needs to be replaced. We, the people, elected him and he should take note of this instead of not answering our questions. Please contact someone in Congress immediately to stop this DREAM Act for all our employed citizens.
