Funkstown Lions hold basket bingo to benefit PTA

FUNKSTOWN — The Funkstown Lions Club organized a basket bingo fundraiser to benefit local charities.   

Funkstown School PTA was one of the recipients. The PTA was presented with a check for $2,500.  

Over the past five years, the Lions Club has helped raise more than $17,000 for the school.

Businesses that helped support the event included Hagerstown Honda/Kia, NYT Accounting, Sharon Mattingly Longaberger Consultant, Bushey Feight  Morin Architects, US Lawns, JLH Industries, Larry Allen & Co., D.L. Hutzler Plumbing & Heating, Hudson House Galleries, Tim Panther of State Farm, Pope Tire Warehouse, Outback Steakhouse, Principal Kathy Forrest, Raynor Photography and Firehouse Grill.
