Products and services: We are a retail pharmacy that focuses on customer service and patient care. We also have a variety of over-the-counter products and medical supplies, such as wheelchairs, braces, compression hose and many foot-care items.

Target market: Jefferson and Berkeley counties in West Virginia

How did you get into your business, and what motivated you to start it? By being a pharmacist in the community, I have seen the need for a pharmacy in Shepherdstown that focuses on the patient and excels in customer service. I love retail pharmacy, and a visit to the pharmacy shouldn’t be dreadful. It can actually be very pleasant, helpful and informative.  

Previous business experience: Graduated from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2002; co-owner of Reed’s Pharmacy in Spring Mills, north of Martinsburg, W.Va., March 2008 to present.

Number of employees: Four

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
