OCT. 19, 1985-JULY 13, 2011

Kandi Sue Carbaugh, 25, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.

Born in Chambersburg, Pa., Oct. 19, 1985, she was the daughter of Paul H. and Karen S. (Crawford) Carbaugh of Warfordsburg.

Kandi attended Chambersburg area schools through ninth grade before moving to Warfordsburg. She graduated with the Class of 2004 from Southern Fulton High School. Kandi attended Hagerstown Community College and also attended Whips Cove Christian Church, Warfordsburg.

She worked on fundraising events for the church through flower sales at Christmas and Easter every year along with helping with the annual church festival. She really enjoyed assisting in the nursery during Sunday school and church services.

Kandi never met a baby she didn't like and who didn't like her. She would of liked to have done child care but her health would not permit it. Most of her happiest memories were about the children she helped at church or at Ronda's Daycare. There wasn't a cat that Kandi did not love; and, of course, she loved Daisy, her horse.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by sister, Heidi Jo (wife of Dustin) Green of Chambersburg; brothers, Keith A. Carbaugh of Waynesboro, and Troy L. (husband of Donna) Carbaugh of Chambersburg; paternal grandmother, Lovetta (Betty) P. Carbaugh of Chambersburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Shelva and Billy Baker, Kimberly and Brian McNew, and Betty and Robert Mellott. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Howard F. Carbaugh, in 1978; and maternal grandparents, Stanley L. Crawford in 1986 and Maude E. (Mearkle) Crawford in 1963.

The funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa., with Pastor Gene Harding officiating.

Interment will be in Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg.

Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2011, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg. There also will be visitation one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
