Two Martinsburg women face prostitution charges

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two Martinsburg women have been charged with asking plainclothes officers to engage in sex acts for money, the Martinsburg Police Department said.

Blair Nicole Miller, 30, of 626 W. King St,. Apt. 1, was charged with prostitution. Police allege she approached an officer and offered to perform a sex act for money at about 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a police department press release.

Autumn Belinda Kackley, 20, of 1272 Rock Cliff Drive, also was charged with prostitution. Police allege she approached an officer at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said both of the alleged incidents occurred in the 300 block of West King Street.

Kackley and Miller were taken to Eastern Regional Jail, the release said.

Franklin County Emergency Services reports incidents

The following incidents were reported Tuesday by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

  • At 12:19 a.m., a brush fire in the 9500 block of Blue Springs Road in Montgomery Township.
  • At 5:37 a.m., a fire alarm in the 400 block of Crest Wood Drive in Guilford Township.

The following incidents were reported Wednesday by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

  • At 1:11 a.m., a traffic accident in the 4500 block of Fort McCord Road.
  • At 4:35 a.m., a porch fire in the first block of South Main Street in Smithsburg.

Washington County Sheriff's Office responds to incidents

The following incidents were reported Monday and Tuesday by the Washington County Sheriff's Office:

  • A burglary in the 13000 block of Pectonville Road.
  • Vandalism in the 18500 block of Maugans Avenue.
  • A control panel from a forklift was stolen in the 400 block of South Conococheague Street.
  • Several GPS units and other items were stolen in the 16900 block of Halfway Boulevard.
  • Electronics were stolen in the 17300 block of Valley Mall Road.

The following incidents were reported Tuesday and Wednesday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

  • A wallet and other items were stolen in the 11200 block of Scarlet Oak Drive.
  • A burglary in the 17300 block of West Washington Street.
  • Liquor was stolen in the 1300 block of Dual Highway.
  • Copper was stolen in the 2500 block of Riser Road.
  • A theft in the 14200 block of Falling Waters Road.
  • A credit card was stolen in the 11200 block of Greenmount Avenue.
  • A theft in the 17200 block of Cole Road.
  • A GPS and other items were stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Weverton Road.

Hagerstown Police respond to incidents

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett:

July 1

  • Controlled-dangerous substance violations were reported on Main Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • A bay window was reported broken in the 1000 block of View Street.
  • A theft was reported at Accent Electric at 920 Eldridge Drive.
  • An attempted burglary was reported on East Irvin Avenue.
  • Bicycles were found in the 200 block of Roland Avenue.
  • A burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Main Avenue.
  • A strong-armed robbery involving change and food was reported in the 300 block of North Locust Street.

July 2

  • Violations for trespassing, an open container and controlled-dangerous substances were reported in City Park. Four people were arrested.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported at The Herald-Mail at 100 Summit Ave.
  • A burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Lanvale Street.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 40 block of E. Baltimore St.
  • A burglary was reported on East Washington Street.
  • Controlled-dangerous substance violations were reported in the first block of Memorial Boulevard. An arrest was made.
  • An air conditioner and video games were stolen in a burglary in the 100 block of West Washington Street.
  • An animal bite was reported in the 300 block of Merrbaugh Drive.
  • Damage to property was reported on East Ridge Drive.
  • A theft was reported in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • An animal bite was reported at an apartment in the 200 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A theft of fireworks was reported in the 1500 block of Wesel Boulevard.
  • A wanted subject was arrested in the 400 block of Salem Avenue.

July 3

  • Controlled-dangerous substance violations were reported in the 30 block of W. Baltimore Street. An arrest was made.
  • A vehicle with a suspended registration was towed in the 100 block of North Cannon Avenue.
  • A wanted person on Wilson Boulevard was arrested.
  •  A strong-armed robbery was reported in the 100 block of High Street.
  • Numerous incidents of damage to vehicles were reported in the 200 block of North Mulberry Street.
  • A juvenile was arrested in connection with damage to a vehicle in the 12000 block of Little Elliott Drive.
  • A stabbing was reported in the 100 block of North Locust Street.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 900 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 900 block of Mulberry Avenue.
