McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A Needmore, Pa., woman who was reported missing Sunday was found dead at the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Lincoln Way West in Fulton County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Marlene Patricia Ellison, 74, was reported missing from her home at 389 Pleasant Grove Road early Sunday. She left in a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis that police later found crashed at 1401 Lincoln Way West, according to a news release.

Police said Ellison was traveling west when her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane, left the road and struck a guy wire from a utility pole head-on. The vehicle traveled down an embankment into a wooded area, where it came to rest against a tree, police said.

Fulton County Coroner Berly Souders pronounced Ellison dead at the scene, according to the release.
