July 08, 2011

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Police in Martinsburg on Friday announced the arrests of at least four more people on drug-related charges, Martinsburg Police Detective J.D. Luciano said in a news release.

  • Steven E. Wills, 26, and Kelly A. Custer, 34, of 620 Winchester Ave., Martinsburg, each were arraigned on three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Krystal D. Anderson, 30, of 1247 Rock Cliff Drive, Martinsburg, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
  • Dwayne Rodgers, 38, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
Rodgers turned himself in Friday after police announced they were looking for him Thursday, according to the news release.

The arrests of Wills, Custer and Anderson came after police executed two search warrants Thursday at a duplex at 620-622 Winchester Ave., across from the shopping plaza near Mall Drive, according to police.

The police agency's special operations team entered the duplex and seized small amounts of marijuana, heroin and pills, police said. Drug paraphernalia and money also were recovered, according to police.

The arrests came after police on Thursday announced the arrest of six people as part of a drug investigation that was conducted over three months. The individuals arrested in those cases are accused of dealing crack cocaine and heroin, according to police.
