CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Two Greencastle, Pa., residents were in fair condition and a third was in serious condition Friday after a two-vehicle crash Thursday night at the intersection of Guitner and Stone Bridge roads, officials said.
The 6:14 p.m. crash occurred as a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 being driven south on Stone Bridge Road by Kelly L. Martin, 35, of Clear Spring approached the intersection with Guitner Road, state police said.
Martin was unable to stop due to the weight of a trailer behind her, state police said.
Martin's truck entered the intersection and collided with a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup being driven west on Guitner Road by Renee A. Rife, 55, of Greencastle, state police said.
Rife was in serious but stable condition Friday afternoon at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Dennis K. Rife, 58, of Greencastle, a passenger in the S-10, was in fair condition Friday at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
A second passenger in the S-10, Evan T. Brumfield, 16, of Greencastle, was also in fair condition Friday at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the spokeswoman said.
